Back Office was founded by Kat Oldershaw after more than a decade leading inside interior design firms in operations, project management, studio leadership, and business consulting.
Through her first business, kat&co, Kat has partnered with creative founders across the country to build stronger operational systems, healthier businesses, and more sustainable studios.
She is also the Co-Founder and Director of Operations at Benchwork Fabrication, a custom furniture and millwork company serving the residential and hospitality design industries.
Together, these experiences have provided a unique perspective on every stage of a design project from concept to procurement, fabrication, installation, and long-term business growth.
That perspective now informs the standards, systems, and philosophy behind Back Office.
